We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Business Development Technical Support Engineer to join our team in North Africa. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong business acumen to drive the growth of our materials testing solutions across the region. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, providing technical support to our clients, and ensuring the successful implementation of our principal's companies products and services.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering preferred) or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or technical support, preferably in the materials testing or industrial equipment sector.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of materials testing equipment and applications. Familiarity with Instron products is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record in sales and business development, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing customer needs.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within North Africa to meet clients and attend industry events as required.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and French or Arabic is required.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development:
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, biomedical, and manufacturing.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide expert technical support to clients, assisting with the selection, implementation, and troubleshooting of Instron products.
    • Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical workshops for clients and partners.
    • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure that all customer inquiries and issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
    • Assist in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of materials testing equipment at client sites.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Serve as a technical advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that meet their testing requirements.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality technical support and maintaining regular communication.
    • Manage customer accounts, including follow-up on sales leads, quotes, and service agreements.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and customer feedback.
    • Analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and inform future business strategies.
    • Provide input on product development based on customer feedback and market demands.
